Chess has become an exciting and enjoyable part of school life at Scoil Bhríde Killasonna. Through regular chess activities, pupils have opportunities to learn the game, develop their skills and challenge themselves in a fun and supportive environment.
Chess is much more than a board game. It encourages children to think ahead, solve problems, make decisions and learn from mistakes. It also promotes patience, concentration, resilience and good sportsmanship.
