Learning through Play
Our children have settled back into school life with confidence and joy, embracing new routines and friendships. There is lots of exploring, building and discovering happening each day.
Look how much we have changed!
This week the children have been learning about how they have grown and changed since they were babies and toddlers. They enjoyed spotting the differences between then and now, from how they look, to what they can do, and even how their favourite toys have changed. It has been a lovely opportunity to reflect on their own personal history and to celebrate just how much they have grown.
2D Shape fun in the Junior room
We have been exploring 2D shapes through lots of different activities. The children loved discovering that shapes are everywhere.
Pastimes and Hobbies
The class explored the importance of hobbies and pastimes and discussed how they are good for wellbeing because they help us relax, express ourselves, build confidence, and feel happy and balanced in our daily lives. Each pupil in Second Class presented an oral report on their favourite hobbies, speaking confidently and sharing their interests with the class.
We are wonderful artists!
Halloween 2025
Halloween Dress-Up day was a huge success! We enjoyed seeing all the fun and creativity!
3D shape and Science Week
Pupils had fun exploring STEM and shapes that roll by designing a ramp in groups. They also predicted what shapes would stack and tested them out.
Curious Minds
Our pupils recently enjoyed an exciting “Curious Minds” online Science Show delivered by Research Ireland. The interactive workshop inspired curiosity and creativity, as children explored scientific concepts through fun demonstrations and hands-on experiments.
Science Week
The children learned all about buoyancy in Science and made their own boats to test it out.
Creative Fun with
Salt Dough
The children in the Junior Room enjoyed a hands-on Art lesson as they worked with salt dough. They rolled, shaped and moulded the dough to create a variety of lovely designs, developing their creativity and fine motor skills along the way. Take a look at their lovely creations!
Maths Transformation
The Junior Room has been busy exploring transformation in Maths. The children learned how shapes can slide, turn and flip, using hands-on activities with shapes, jigsaws, tangrams. They also learned all about symmetry through folding and drawing.
