Cumann na mBunscol Champions 2025
Days don't come much sweeter than last Thursday 22nd of May, when the children created memories for themselves that will stay with them forever. Thank you to all those who have given this group the tools to make this happen. Apart from the striking talent and athleticism on display, their ability to work as a team and make calm decisions under the fiercest of pressure is incredible. It is a testament to their commitment and that of their coaches, Niall and Micheál and those within St. Mary's GAA. Match reports and reaction to follow in coming days!
Thanks to the talented and courageous Aughnagarron for a super game of football.

Recently, Scoil Bhríde Killasonna held a thanksgiving Mass for retiring Principal, Mrs. Patricia Kilduff. The pupils sang their hearts out to celebrate thirty four year of dedication to the whole school community. Presentations were made by the Board of Management, Staff and the Parents' Association.
Everyone associated with the school has benifitted from Patricia's service over the years and we hope she is leaving with fond memories and great excitement for what will come next. She is certainly leaving with our very best wishes and gratitude.

On the school's behalf, Fiona was presented with a card from her children Emily, Maria and Luke Gettings.

Christmas Performance 2024
Our Christmas performance took place on Thursday, 19th December. It was a recital packed full of music, song, dance, drama and poetry. The children worked very hard in preparation and were really proud of themselves on the day. They were amazing and looked fantastic in their Christmas jumpers. Their families were there in the audience supporting them and enjoyed every minute.
Reading time
The children in the Middle room spent some time reading picture books to the children from the Junior room. They moved in pairs and small groups to different areas of the classroom to find a relaxing space. It was a lovely way to spend some quality time reading and listening to some of their favourite books and even books they had never heard before.
'You can find magic wherever you look. Sit back and relax, all you need is a book.' Dr Seuss.
Grandparents' Day and St Brigid's Crosses
What an honour and privilege it was to welcome in the school's Grandparents and parents to help our children make our St Brigid's Crosses. Not only did we get a chance to make our Crosses, but we heard stories, met neighbours, old friends and made new aquaintances. Thank you to all those who visited us today. Thank you to Father Simon who came to bless the Crosses and for bringing the spare Crosses to the church for Sister Maeve to hand out to parishoners. Finally, thanks to the children for searching high and low for the rushes.... according to some, they had to leave the parish to find them!
